Sand & Sunshine
Sand Dunes
The Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is home to one of the largest uninterrupted parabolic dune systems in Ontario. The forest is filled with rolling hills sculpted entirely from sand, while the imposing dunes along the Nottawasaga River command attention.
The most iconic set of dunes, the Oxbow Dunes, are situated at one of the hairpins of the river. Monument Hill, a beloved hiking and skiing trail, is another fascinating example of a parabolic dune. If you climb to the top, you will be delighted with a panoramic view of the park, the bay, and the escarpment beyond.
