Nordic Skiing & Snowshoeing
Wasaga Beach Provincial Park offers some of the most exciting Nordic ski terrains in Central Ontario with 24.2km of groomed trails. Expert skiers can challenge themselves on the High Dunes Trail while beginner skiers can choose the more leisurely Blueberry Trail, and all the others in between.
Wildlife Viewing
Nordic Centre
The Wasaga Nordic and Trail Centre is managed by Ontario Parks. A 7.6km snowshoe trail network radiates from this Centre and offers a range of difficulty level routes that cater to different experience levels. Many trails located inside of Wasaga Nordic and Trail Centre are used for cross-county skiing.
If you’re lucky, quiet skiers will be rewarded with wildlife viewing as white-tailed deer and winter birds are abundant. An additional 24.2km of trails become available for hiking outside of the winter season.
Rentals
Rentals for cross country skiis and snowshoes can be found at the Wasaga Nordic and Trail Centre. The Nordic Centre offers modern equipment rentals, light refreshments, warm-up shelter and outback ski shelters to help you warm up on those crisp wintery days.
